We offer a seasonal winter let of our Fern House apartment in Grassington for the months of January and February. March can also be added subject to advance booking. The special discounted rate for this three-month period each year is £1,350 per month including all heating, lighting, rates, broadband, wi/fi etc.

It is an elegant Period Town House Apartment, set back in an attractive quiet cul-de-sac courtyard yet just 30 metres from the picturesque main square with shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.
The apartment spans over the first and second floors, accessed by stairs from the private entrance lobby through the grand front door.

Master bedroom: treasure a good night's sleep in the tastefully furnished master bedroom with hotel quality super king-sized bed topped with fluffy feather & duck-down duvets and pillows & crisp white cotton bed linen. This room boasts a stunning giant landscape image of the Yorkshire dales, a unique hand-painted wardrobe set with plenty of hanging and storage space, a small desk, wicker chairs, views over the rooftops, and Fold from the large Georgian window plus a large roof skylight window.
Second Lounge / Second Bedroom: a comfy room with a large chaise longue (or, on request, made up as a second double or twin bedroom with the option of the chaise longue made up as a double or single sofa-bed plus a further fold-out single mattress), a 40" flat-screen Sony TV with DVD player, music player, a selection of classical music, maps (including a helpful Yorkshire Dales raised relief map on the wall), book and DVD info on the Yorkshire Dales. Views over the rooftops and Fold from the large Georgian window, plus a large roof skylight window.
First Floor:
Lounge/dining room: this elegant and peaceful room with period features and views over stone-tiled rooftops and quaint Dickensian-style courtyard provides an enjoyable place to relax and dine; the room has a 40" flat-screen Sony TV with a DVD player, a comfortable sofa, mood lighting, a selection of games.
Shower room: stylish contemporary shower room with dual-head shower, pearlescent mosaic tiles, soft white towels, ambient lighting, and mirrors.
Kitchen: a fully equipped home-from-home kitchen maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness; elegant table and bar stools positioned in a place to enjoy views over the historic Pletts Fold courtyard below (and glimpses into the main market square area of Grassington) - it makes a great spot to use a computer while having a cuppa or a convenient place for breakfast; the kitchen also has a CD player with a range of classical music and a selection of cookbooks.
Utility area: just off the kitchen you will find a small utility area with a tumble dryer, vacuum cleaner, slow cooker, high chair, iron and ironing board, and a range of cleaning products.
Throughout the apartment, you will find a stunning collection of framed landscape photographs by a local artist featuring Grassington and the surrounding area.
There is secure BT broadband Wi-Fi internet which is accessible throughout the whole apartment.
The property benefits from an abundance of natural light and includes many original property features including original Georgian sash windows, and a large ornate south-facing window.
Typical of a property of this period (1866), both staircases are relatively steep and narrow which whilst being part of the character of the apartment may cause difficulty for the elderly and/or infirm. Those with young children will also need to bear this in mind although we have stair gates and manage with a 3-year-old ourselves in the apartment.

Directly at the front of your accommodation, there is a small flagged seating area and a convenient reserved parking space for your car.
Grassington village and surrounds
Grassington is a picture-postcard village in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Set amongst the magnificent limestone scenery of Upper Wharfedale, Grassington is a hub for local tourism offering a wide range of outdoor leisure activities.
There is a rich tapestry of flower-filled meadowland, high fells, heather moors, and broad-leaved woodland, all scattered with stone barns, waterfalls, and an abundance of drystone walls.
There are various popular and traditional community events held throughout the year including the atmospheric Dickensian Christmas Festival, the early summer Grassington Festival and the September 1950s weekend.

We have a housekeeper who lives locally and does a great job cleaning and making up the beds with fresh linen.

There is a tourist steam train close by.
The apartment has steep stairs.
Smoking is strictly not permitted in any part of the apartment. If smoking outside, care should be taken to close the front door first.
